GLENMONT - A 61-year-old man is dead after a late night fire.

Police say the fire broke out just after 10 Wednesday night at a home located at 173 Glenmont Road. Bethlehem Police tell us Brad Woodworth was found in a bathroom, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Selkirk fire department had the fire under control in about an hour.

As a precaution, Glenmont Road was closed for about five hours.

The fire chief says at this time it does not appear suspicious and likely started in the kitchen, but they are still trying to determine an exact cause.

NewsChannel 13 has learned that Woodworth was once questioned in the 1985 disappearance of UAlbany student, Karen Wilson.
