Vermont State Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Cumberland Farms on Main St. in Wallingford Friday afternoon.

Police say there were several patrons inside the store when a man waiting in line approached the clerk, told her he was robbing the store, and demanded she give him the money in the drawer.

The suspect did not show a weapon, but police say he did threaten to harm the clerk and another employee who tried to follow him outside. He fled the store when one of the employees told him to leave.

The suspect was last seen headed north on Creek Road towards Clarendon in a white four door Chrysler Lebaron with Vermont tags. The first three letters of the plate are believed to be “FLM”.

Police describe the suspect as 5’5”, very heavy set with buzz cut dirty blond hair. He was wearing a light brown jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt and blue jeans. He may also have several gaps in his front teeth.

Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the suspect or vehicle is asked to call the Vt. State Police in Rutland at (802) 773-9101.
