RAVENA - More charges are being lodged against a former American Red Cross employee. Police say Reylando Higgins was already in trouble for stalking and harassing a teen from RCS High School when a 16 year old victim came forward. Now, the 30 year old is also facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say Higgins got a student's personal information from her donor card during a blood drive at RCS High School last Friday. Authorities say he used that information to contact the 19 year old several times by calling her, even sending sexually explicit/nude photos of himself after she told him to stop.
The school district sent a letter home to families alerting them to what happened.
After seeing the story on the news, a 16 year old student who also donated blood came forward to say Higgins engaged in inappropriate conversation with her.
Coeymans Police Chief Greg Darlington told NewsChannel 13's Jessica Layton Higgins made bail around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. He says Higgins is due back in court on the new charge on Friday. The Red Cross fired Higgins earlier this week.
