ALBANY - A level three sex offender from Colonie convicted of abusing a 91-year-old woman will spend the next four years in prison.
Richard Ragone was sentenced this morning in Albany County Court.
Ragone was a maintenance worker at the Loudonville Home for Adults. A witness there saw him put his hands down the elderly woman's shirt and fondle her while she was sleeping.
Prosecutors say this could have been prevented because Ragone was already on file as a sex offender.
Ragone will be under supervision for ten years after he gets out of prison.
He will also have to register again as a level three sex offender.
Albany County District Attorney David Soares says the investigation continues into the nursing home, and how it handles and checks employees..
