QUEENSBURY - A Queensbury man refuses to give up as he battles New York's new Safe Act.

Bob Schultz filed paperwork Monday with the appellate division of State Supreme Court.

He had tried to get an injunction on the governors law but that was rejected.

The case was revived Friday when a different judged issued a show cause order to the governor and the state legislature.

Schultz says the law was passed too quickly.

“So prepare a bill with all these technical amendments that they're now negotiating, put it on the desks for three days, open up, allow the legislators time to read and comprehend the bill, that would help and then open up the process to us, the people so we could talk to legislators and petition them,” said Shultz.

Schulz wants to see and end to the back room deals where state legislative leaders get together and decide to cut all public debate on what he calls major, controversial issues.
