GREENWICH -- Republican Assemblyman Tony Jordan is in the middle of his third term in office. But he's looking to move on. Jordan just announced his plans to run for Washington County District Attorney.
The Jackson native said he cares about Washington County where he grew up and is now raising four children. He believes he can make a real difference as the county's top prosecutor.
"I Think you need to serve where your passion is and do what you care most about and that's what has brought us to this decision," Jordan said.
Jordan is preparing for a tough battle even though he's unopposed right now. The current Washington County D.A., Kevin Kortright, also a Republican, has not announced if he's going to defend his seat.
