GLENS FALLS - It's an option the mayor of Glens Falls thought he would never have to consider: closing the Glens Falls Civic Center.
But, it's one he may be forced to.
NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Post Star report if the city isn't able to recruit a new American Hockey League tenant by next April, the city may have to consider closing the venue.
The Civic Center has been home to the Adirondack Phantoms, but the team is expected to move to a new arena in Pennsylvania for the 2014-2015 season.
The mayor insists it's too early to press the panic button.
