(AP) FORT WORTH, Texas - Greg Biffle has a pretty good feeling about how the season is going so far _ and now the Roush Fenway driver gets to go to a track where he’s had a lot of success.
Biffle is sixth in NASCAR Sprint Cup points.
The next race is Saturday night at Texas. The first night race of the season comes at the high-banked 1 1/2-mile track where Biffle won last spring and has finished in the top 10 in the last nine races.
"That track is so fun," Biffle said Monday. "It gives you plenty of opportunities to pass, top, bottom, middle and we have been really successful there, so that’s definitely a positive."
Only Matt Kenseth has led more laps at Texas than Biffle.
After starting 22nd at Martinsville on Sunday, Biffle worked himself into a ninth-place finish on the short track. That was his third top-10 finish this season, and he’s finished no lower than 17th this season.
"I feel good about where we’re at in points, just because we’ve been pretty consistent, but certainly we want to win and we’ve been a little bit short of that so far," Biffle said. "Overall, we’re in decent shape, let’s put it that way. We’re in position to be winning some."
