UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - A federal judge has ruled there's enough evidence to extradite a central New York man to Bosnia to face trial for war crimes committed in the 1990s, including the torture of one prisoner and the slaying of another.

The Observer-Dispatch of Utica reports that a U.S. magistrate in Syracuse last week ordered that Sulejman Mujagic of Utica be surrendered to the proper authorities of his native Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The 50-year-old former regional army commander was arrested in Utica last November on allegations that he murdered an unarmed enemy soldier and tortured another in March 1995 during the Bosnian War.

Mujagic was fighting for a region that had seceded from the central government during the Bosnian War. He moved to Utica in 1997.
