COLONIE - Siena basketball player Rakeem Brookins is scheduled to appear in court Monday evening.

He's accused of stealing a fellow student’s wallet, while on the search for marijuana.

According to court papers, Brookins allegedly said 'one night I got drunk, sticky fingers, that's it man".

Siena Sophomore Rakeem Brookins, a pretty big deal on the Siena basketball team when he was brought in - faces grand larceny charges.

According to court papers on April 6, Brookins went to a townhouse on campus - and was allegedly looking to buy some marijuana.

Police say the door was unlocked; Brookins walked in and saw the wallet.

The next day, the court papers say Brookins and his roommate Trenity Burdine, also on the Siena basketball team - went to the Mobil near campus, and used the stolen debit card to pay for $67 worth of gasoline to fill up Burdine's car.

Brookins then got a hair cut - and they returned to campus.

Six days later, campus security went into Brookins campus townhouse searching for a stolen cell phone in an unrelated case.

Police say that's when they found the stolen wallet.
