GALWAY - A 62-year-old Schenectady man was killed Sunday in a motorcycle accident.
Police say the passenger was his 9-year-old nephew, who was flown to Albany Medical Center.
The accident happened on Route 29, east of Fish House Road in Galway.
Police say a car driven by 47-year-old Clyde Jones crossed the center line for an unknown reason and hit the motorcycle head-on.
The driver of the motorcycle, John Mackin, was pronounced dead on the scene. Brandon Mackin, of Corinth, is in critical condition at Albany Med.
Mackin's son, also named John, fought back tears Monday while talking about his father, "He was a good man. The world's not going to be the same without him."
A 19-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy in the car were taken to Albany Med with non-life threatening injuries.
The exact cause is under investigation.
Family and friends constructed a road-side memorial at the scene of the crash that urges passersby to pray for Brandon.
