AMSTERDAM - Fire investigators are on the scene trying to find out if an overnight fire that destroyed RVs, was intentionally set.

It could have been a dangerous situation as one RV caught fire and the flames spread to two more. There are propane tanks close by and all the vehicles have propane in them. There were reports of small explosions overnight.

Local and state firefighters are at the Alpin Haus dealership looking for clues to find out how this fire started.

Two motor homes and one travel trailer are destroyed. At least two more have some damage.

These vehicles are owned by customers who brought them in for service.

They were parked in a fenced off portion of the Alpin Haus lot off Route 5S. Only employees have access to this lot.

The RVs, on the higher end, can cost up to $150,000.
