SCHENECTADY - About 150 friends, neighbors and relatives of the three children and father who died in the Hulett Street blaze attended a vigil Friday night.

Mourners lit candles, prayed and sang happy birthday as a tribute to the oldest fire victim, 32 year old Dave Terry. Terry would have turned 33 on Friday.

They also released get well balloons into the sky for 5 year old Sa'fyre Terry. The child remains in critical condition in the burn unit at the Westchester Medical Center.

The mother of the children also attended. She was clinging to friends throughout the evening. Jennica Duell lived at 438 Hulett Street with her children and former boyfriend. But she wasn't home when the flames ripped through that multi-family house.

The memorial event came hours after a 27 year old Robert Butler of Saratoga was arrested and charged with arson in the case. Police won't say what his relationship is to the Duell and Terry families. But sources tell NewsChannel 13, Butler and Jennica Duell were at one point, romantically involved.
