TROY -- The future Summit Luxury Apartments off Morrison Avenue in South Troy were first approved as senior apartments two years ago. The new construction plan for the space includes fewer apartments, and more parking.
Area residents are concerned because the new layout never went back before the planning board. Planning Commissioner Bill Dunne says the first approvals are still valid.
According to Troy resident Kathy Tremblay, "That means if you've got 108 apartments, that's over 200 more vehicles on our streets here. And we're having a problem with the traffic as it is."
A stop work order has been posted on the site. City officials are now organizing a public meeting for residents with the developer, engineers, and architects to address any concerns.
