HALFMOON -- It was unclear early Sunday whether anyone holds the winning numbers in the record $600 million Powerball drawing. They are 10, 13, 14, 22, 52, Powerball 11.

Many players bought their tickets at the "lucky store," the Stewart's Shop at 454 Route 146 in Halfmoon. The store has turned out several lottery winners in recent years, earning a reputation that draws players from as far away as New York City.

Many people said the record jackpot compelled them to play, while a lesser jackpot -- say $20 million -- would not spur them to fork over the $2 for a ticket.

"(It's) ridiculous, right?" John Marr, of Clifton Park, said. "Twenty million is still life-changing money. It's really no different than $600 million. You're still going to be having a different lifestyle after that."

Matthew Kitchell bought a ticket, inspired by a friend who last week won $5 million on a scratch-off purchased in Scotia.

"I think he's going to retire," Kitchell, of Clifton Park, told NewsChannel 13. "I haven't talked to him in a couple of years... but I wish I had stayed best friends with him. That's for sure."

The $600 million Powerball jackpot is the second-largest in lottery history behind a March 2012 Mega Millions drawing. Winners in Kansas, Illinois, and Maryland shared the $656 million top prize.

If there are no winners in Saturday's Powerball drawing, Wednesday's jackpot grows to nearly $1 billion.
