This weekend is dedicated to dad.
Whether it's your first father's day or one of many, it's a good time to think about your health to ensure there are more to come.
Dr. Lakshmi Khatri is a primary care doctor at Cleveland Clinic.
She says a couple of the most important things dads need to think about are lifestyle and disease prevention.
"Do they smoke? Are they exercising? What's their family history like? Getting their blood pressure checked. Looking at their risk for cardiovascular disease and those things, it's important to prevent disease to stay healthy."
It's also a good idea to ask your doctor about immunizations to make sure everything is up to date.
The same goes for cancer screenings like a colonoscopy.
Be sure to ask what screenings are appropriate for your age group.
