RAVENA, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a driver's failure to move over while passing a trooper's stopped patrol car has led to drug charges against three New York City residents.
Troopers say a car traveling north on the Thruway around 6 p.m. Thursday failed to move into the other lane as it passed a state police car that was on the highway's shoulder with its emergency lights on.
Troopers stopped the car in Ravena, just south of Albany. Police say a search of the car turned up about 21 grams of crack cocaine and 60 grams of heroin.
A 19-year-old Manhattan woman, a 30-year-old Brooklyn man and a 23-year-old Staten Island man were arrested on drug-related charges. All three are being held in the Albany County Jail.
