Police: Four injured after altercation in Albany

ALBANY - Police say an altercation on Elk Street Monday night ended with four people injured -- three of them seriously. 

Albany Police Public Information Officer Steve Smith says at some point a woman got into an SUV and hit another vehicle.

Four people standing in the road got hit. They were all taken to Albany Medical Center -- three with serious injuries.

Smith says Elk Street between Lark Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard will be closed while they do accident reconstruction.

The incident is still under investigation.
