Troopers say they were in the right place at the right time when they nabbed a Wilton man suspected of stealing computer gaming accessories from a local Walmart.
According to officials, a trooper went into a Game Stop in Wilton to advise the employee to be on the look out for stolen merchandise and to see if he recognized the suspect on security camera pictures.
During the patrol, a customer at the counter was trying to sell used computer items and, according to police, was wearing the same sweatshirt as the suspect in the photo. Police say the items he was trying to sell matched the descriptions of the stolen merchandise as well.
Police arrested 22-year-old Jesse Ruggiero and charged him with Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is due in court November 19th.
