PUTNAM - A Washington County woman is recovering after she says a bobcat pounced on her in front of her house.
Cindy Bowman told NewsChannel 13's media partners at the Post-Star she was attacked last Thursday as she was letting her dog into her home.
The 49-year-old says the bobcat latched onto her face and bit or scratched her head, shoulder, arms and thigh.
The bobcat then went after her daughter's boyfriend, who shot and killed the animal.
The bobcat later tested positive for rabies.
Bowman and the boyfriend are undergoing a series of shots for the disease.
