There are plenty of topical products to keep your skin looking its best but you can also give your skin a beauty boost from the inside out.

Dr. Tanya Edwards is a wellness expert at Cleveland Clinic.

If acne is a problem, she says a powerful antioxidant called glutathione may help.

"Glutathione is an antioxidant that is so important for the detoxification of waste that foods like cruciferous vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage - those are really important as well as things like onions and garlic because they are good sources of sulfur, which we need to make the glutathione,” says Dr. Edwards.

If it's sun damage you're battling, experts believe certain vitamins and antioxidants can play a role in improving skin tone and preventing damage.

Research shows Vitamin C may help, as well as Vitamins A, E, green tea extract and beta-carotene.
