NEW YORK (AP) - Amtrak says the frigid weather is forcing it to curtail service throughout the Northeast.
The railroad says it is running on a modified schedule Tuesday on the Northeast Corridor between Washington and Boston. In addition, Amtrak is running fewer trains than usual on the Empire line between New York City and Albany.
Meanwhile, overhead wire problems are being addressed near Trenton, N.J. The wire problems are causing extensive delays along the Northeast Corridor.
Amtrak says it does not know when service will be completely restored.
