Advocates gather in Albany for the People's State of the State.
ALBANY - On the day before the governor gives his State of the State address, we heard the People's State of the State.
Advocates for the poor and the hungry gathered at the State Capitol to talk about income inequality.
They say the richest one percent of New Yorkers now receive 35 percent of the income, and they say the tax relief package Governor Cuomo outlined on Monday will do nothing to bridge that gap.
The groups at Tuesday's event urged Governor Cuomo to listen to President Obama and Vice President Biden, who are pushing for a hike in the minimum wage.
