The former town supervisor of Hoosick Falls is appearing in court Wednesday night in Pittstown.
Keith Cipperly will answer to misdemeanor charges of falsifying business records and official misconduct.
State Police say he filed papers with a bank that contained information that was not true.
Cipperly lost his bid for re-election last November.
His case was moved to Pittstown after town justices in Hoosick recused themselves.
