In anticipation of heavy snowfall in the Glens Falls area, Mayor John Diamond has put parking restrictions in place for the City of Glens Falls beginning on Tuesday, March 14 at 5 p.m. through Wednesday, March 15 at 7 a.m. During this time period, on-street parking on all city streets is banned in order to allow city snow plows and crews to clear the streets for any needed emergency vehicle access.

The storm is anticipated to bring anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of snow or more to the Glens Falls area. That, coupled with heavy winds, will make driving conditions very poor. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution while driving. If you don’t have to travel on Tuesday, please stay home.

Because of the anticipated late winter storm, all skating programs scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at the Glens Falls Recreation Center at Fire Road have been canceled. These programs include Joan Podres’ “Home School Skate” and “Adult Learn to Skate” as well as the Open Skating schedule at the Fire Road facility.
