JOHNSTOWN – A police officer has resigned from the Johnstown police force after admitting to having sex with a minor.

Adam Schwabrow, 32, pleaded guilty to rape charges on Tuesday in Fulton County Court.

The rape happened in 2011 while Schwabrow was off duty.

Part of the plea deal required Schwabrow to resign from the force.

At the time of his arrest, he was also the emergency management director in Montgomery County.

He’s expected to get one year in the Fulton County Jail when he is sentenced in May.
