A former elementary school principal in the Albany School District is still collecting his $127,000 a year salary, even though he hasn't worked for more than a year.

A district spokesman says Gregory Jones was on paid administrative leave between February of 2013 and earlier this month because of allegations that he sexually harassed teachers working for him.

He is back at work now at the same salary but in a new position in the superintendent’s office.

NewsChannel 13 asked the district why he's been paid all this time and why the board didn't move faster.

Each question was answered with them saying they couldn’t comment because it was a pending legal matter under the terms of the resignation agreement.

The board of education voted on March 6 to keep the salary with the new responsibilities if Jones agreed to resign in January of 2015.
