NORTH ADAMS - The case involving the closure of North Adams Regional Hospital will go before a judge on Thursday.

We're told the case will be heard in Berkshire Superior Court.

More than 500 people lost their jobs after the hospital closed down unexpectedly last month.

State and local officials say they are meeting with Berkshire Medical Center about possibly opening the emergency department.

There are also plans to hire about 75 former hospital employees should that center reopen.
