TROY - The prosecution wrapped up its case on Monday in the trial of a Troy teen accused of killing her father.
Trinity Copeland is accused of shooting and killing her father, Harlan Copeland, to avoid being caught stealing from him.
In court, the jury continued listening to a transcript of Trinity Copeland’s testimony in front of the grand jury. She explains she was terrified her father was going to shoot her – and the shooting was for her own self-defense.
She also says she got gloves and a towel before going to shoot him.
Copeland herself is expected to take the witness stand at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
