GREAT BARRINGTON - A woman hoping to become the next Massachusetts governor came to the Berkshires on Tuesday.
Democratic candidate Juliette Kayyem visited folks in Great Barrington.
Kayyem is an award-winning columnist and lecturer.
She also used to work for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
“I'm the only candidate who's worked in state and federal government. I know the resources and tools of a governor's office. And any person who wants to be governor has to recognize that we're one state, but with many different solutions. And the only way to become a good governor is to listen to those solutions throughout the state,” said Kayyem.
Kayyem faces several other Democratic candidates, most notably Attorney General Martha Coakley and State Treasurer Steve Grossman.
Right now, Charlie Baker is the leading Republican in the race.
