It was a beautiful day for the Spa City to kick off one of its biggest weekends all year. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is hosting the Freihofer's Jazz Festival.
Year after year, people from across the country come to SPAC to listen to a line-up of jazz musicians from all over the world. For the first time, Earth, Wind & Fire are performing at this year's festival.
"The cool thing about SPAC and the Jazz Fest is that we allow people to bring in a lot of stuff, so people have tents tarps umbrellas and chairs and they bring a lot of their own food it's a very casual, very family-friendly hang," says producer Danny Melnick.
Lou Hotte says he's been going to Jazz Fest for over 30 years, and says each year gets better and better.
Also performing at this year's festival is jazz guitarist Mike Stern and Quinn Sullivan.
Organizers say the festival has a way of showcasing young and emerging artists, as well as the concert's headliners.
